This may just be me, I've not been on quite as much as usual, so I could be way off, but does it seem like the gather rate has gone down and the gestation period up? It's hard to say, but I felt like my ankys were gathering less on my last metal run, and I just bred one of my dire wolves, and the gestation says 2hr. 45min, or there about. I do not remember wolves having that long of a gestation period on this server. I could be totally wrong and maybe it's just been a while. Just thought I would ask the community.
Yes the rates have been cut in half now that the Ark Evolution event has finally ended. It seems the ARK devs in all their wisdom decided to hard code the game so that every server official or unofficial had their rates doubled for who knows how long. Of course they did this without letting anyone know that it would effect unofficial servers and as you can imagine none of our players complained or reported that glitch. So in short there are many on our servers that benefited from these unintentional server settings and now that they are back to where they were before the event, many are now feeling the instant slowdown.

So the hard-coding was making every server have 2x rates, so with our 2 or 3 times gather rates we were getting 4-6x but now we are back to a real 2-3x?
So, just wondering, with the point of our server's settings so that we have a good balance between gameplay time and work-life and normal life, can we put the sever settings to something that helps us out with that balance, something close to what they have had for the last year? I have really enjoyed playing on this server because it wasn't too easy, but it was fast enough that I could still have a life outside of Ark. I enjoyed the fact that it took an hour and 40 minutes to incubate a rex egg before my 1 day and 8 hours (good weekend raising time) of imprinting time began. It will now take 3+ hours just to incubate a rex egg and many many more hours to raise it. I haven't done the math on that yet and Dododex can't be trusted right now.
In short, the new rates are going to make it much harder to have a good balance between how much time something will take to do on Ark vs real-life responsibilities. I know it's not your fault that the devs changed things so drastically, but given the reasoning behind setting the rates where you had them in the first place, it seems reasonable that we would need to adjust our settings once more to keep the game:life balance we have had.
On another note, I don't think anyone complained or reported the rates as being a glitch due to the fact that it was indeed hard-coded so no one even knew that our rates were not right (it was Ark-wide).
Right now it is impossible to fine tune the rates because the Ark Devs keep doing these evo events which multiply the already raised raise by two. I was going to attempt to set the rates yesterday so they leveled out at our standard rates of 2x and 3x but as soon as I logged into the Game GUI I saw that Ark just activated the evo event again. So for now until they Ark stops screwing around with the hard codes, the rates are going to fluctuate. Every time Ark does these unannounced events it shoots our rates to 4x and 6X and sometimes 6X and 8X. These rates are way too high and if not checked daily it could result in those high rates being active for many days in a row. Is bad enough that it took us a while to figure out how the hard code was effecting our server and as a result our server seems to have ran for the last two or three weeks at 4x and 6x and our labor day event was probably 6x and 8x. Our server has always had a good balance up until the ARK devs started this evo nonsense. We are going to attempt to juggle the settings to keep them where we have always been. 2X XP and harvest and 3X taming and breeding but expect fluctuation due to all the hard code changes the ARK devs keep doing.

Yup people have been leveling and breeding way too fast. Heck it took us months to do what some people have been doing in just a couple of days with us putting in 3x the hours. So I for one applaud your efforts in trying to keep the settings in check.
I'm taming a level 145 Purlovia atm and according to Gamepedia, the taming rate is even slower on the ArkFam server than official servers atm. After 65 minutes taming it with Raw Mutton, the taming is only at 57%. Calculating the amount of food needed and taming time, I will need 30 Raw Mutton and 114 minutes taming time.
Let me chime in here quick. The rates are off because the time it takes to eat is longer because patch's ago the caused everything to starve too fast. So when the administration adjusted the food use age to slow down it effected taming times. You guys have had it lucky. Fast a heck Luling but slower taming. The throw off is longer to tame, or play tamogotchi everyday feeding or the starve really fast. Sure the administration is trying his best t I balance it. That my opinion on it.
Your calculator will not be accurate because of the change in the food consumption settings. Dinos on our server eat slower or need to feed less with in an hours time. It is physically impossible that our server taming rates are slower than an official because we have increased taming rates and when officals boost rates the lazy ARK Devs boost them via a hard code so that they dont have to go in and change each server individually. As i said before, the devs keep messing or micromanaging everyones server rates by changing them in the hard code of the game without letting anyone know. So until they stop this, our rates are going to fluctuate.
Let me apologizes for the tablet post, I was in a hurry, and I didn't proof read my post. So my tablet was auto word predicting for me and some things are hard to understand. Busy atm and I will reinterate the post later when I get a chance.

So when the administration adjusted the food useage to slow down the dino's from starving, it effected taming times. You guys have had it lucky. Fast as heck Leveling((Saw 3 people on the server for 2 days had made it to lvl 60+) Took me 5 months to get to 60 a year ago) but slower taming. I wasn't really complaining, I'm stating my observations with numbers. I usually benchmark the taming on ArkFam with the taming-calculator at Crumplecorn (taming multiplier at 4x, normal rate for that is 2x), but there aren't Purlovia there. Sad to hear the Admin has to tweak the settings all the time It's a good server!
For a 3x taming the amount of kibble would be 6 not 3, and the time would be 14:24 for the time. Be sure you check your multipliers. You are right the rates are off but make sure all your cards are correct before you play that hand. Dododex does not let you use decimals in the multipliers.
